The SwissCham Business Councils and Committees are expert groups who meet on a regular basis to discuss new developments, trends and challenges.
These focus groups compile of senior representatives from various backgrounds across a range of industries which operate in Hong Kong and the region. They hold regular closed-door meetings, where company representatives are provided with a platform to share and receive updates on the latest developments in the industry and pursue their common interests.

Plan and coordinate a minimum of two industry-specific events each calendar year.
Identify relevant topics that resonate with current trends and challenges,
Secure expert speakers and industry leaders to share insights and knowledge relevant to the chosen topics, enhancing the value of the events.
Organize at least two networking gatherings annually to promote Swiss businesses and foster community engagement among members and stakeholders.
3. Advocacy and Representation: The member serves as an ambassador for the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and advocates for their interests. They are responsible for effectively communicating the views, concerns, and needs of Swiss businesses to the Swiss Chamber of Commerce, relevant authorities, and other stakeholders. This may involve participating in discussions, providing feedback on government policies, and collaborating with other business councils to address common challenges.
4. Knowledge Sharing and Information Dissemination: Keeping abreast of the latest developments in the business environment is essential. The member is expected to stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and business opportunities in both Switzerland and Hong Kong. They play a vital role in sharing relevant information and insights with fellow members, facilitating knowledge exchange, and providing relevant resources to support Swiss businesses in navigating the local market.
5. Business Support for new and existing members and Advisory Services: provide essential guidance and advisory services to Swiss companies seeking to establish or expand their presence in Hong Kong. This involves sharing market entry strategies, offering insights into local business practices, and connecting businesses with potential partners, service providers, or investors. Additionally, you will collaborate with the chamber's support services to deliver practical assistance, while also supporting new members by helping them acclimate to the council and the local business environment. Maintain regular communication with existing members to understand their evolving needs and offer timely advice and support.
